Chapter One: Get back to the cross and preach the gospel.
Romans 1:16 says for I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Jesus Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to those that believeth, to the Jew first and to the Greek. First Corinthians 1:18 mentions, the preaching of the cross is to them that perish Foolishness: but to us that are saved it is the power of God.
We must get back to the cross and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we pay attention to what is being preached nowadays, it is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. Men and women are preaching the gospel of themselves and no where in the bible does it say the gospel of me or the gospel of you. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ that saves, not the gospel of flesh.
The apostle Paul said if any man preach any other gospel than that you received, let that man be accursed. This gospel that we preach is not a magic book or a book of fiction characters. It is the truth from God to man. The good news as it is known is the story of the birth, death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We must get back to the cross and preach the gospel. If a man is to be saved, he must come by the cross.
The cross has set us free from the penalty of sin. Jesus took our trespasses and gave us a clean slate. The word says blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us and took it out of the way nailing it to his cross.
The book of St. Luke states the spirit of the lord is upon me because the has anointed me to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of the sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised(4:18). Sin has bruised us all and caused us to be separated from God. But now, Satan is bruised under our feet(Romans16:20).
