WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK Since I was fourteen years old, I had a dream and desire to make a difference in people’s lives and do something great for God. I had and still have a challenging life but that did not stop me from pursuing what God has envisioned for my life even before I was born. I learned to love writing and to use this gift to renew minds, heal hearts, transform lives, and share about God’s goodness and loving kindness. In 2004, God gave me two visions- to be part of a healing center (which happened in 2007) and to publish His testimonies to the nations. Although writing is easier to achieve, publishing is something I never actually imagined I could attain in my lifetime. However, I held onto that vision and now it is being fulfilled. I started as a freelance Christian creative writer in 2009 and years later, became a direct response copywriter. By divine appointment, I met a professional copywriter based in UK who trained and mentored me in what I am doing with my self-publishing, copywriting, marketing, and PR company, KavodPublishing.org. I wrote this book because this is my story and I would like to share this message to people who are at a loss about their purpose and destiny in life. Love, Emilou INTRODUCTION TO ACHIEVING GOD’S VISION Perhaps, you are like most folks who wonder why there are certain people who seem to accomplish so much in life. They are famous worldwide and their names are common household names. How could they have done so much with such a little amount of time and their influence extends beyond normal expectations? Most of them are uneducated, ordinary-looking, and there seems to be nothing spectacular about their character and talents. What could have possibly set them apart from the entire population—past, present, and future? Is it by happenstance, chance, or random luck? Or were they in the right place at the right time with the right people doing the right things? What you now have in your hands is a book that will mentor you on how an idea, desire, dream, or a vision can turn into a reality in your life. You may have a strong urge to do something significant not only for yourself but for the world. However, be advised that this is not a money-making or a success manual that will give you the ABC’s or 1-2-3’s of getting rich and famous. This does not even advocate a prosperity gospel. Achieving God’s Vision intends to take you on a journey on how one vision from God can make a difference in someone’s life and how that same vision can bring transformation to the world around you. Our main basis and foundation for our guiding principles and tools here are the Scriptures. God desires for you to reach your fullest potential and remain in the center of His perfect will as you continue to live out His destiny for your life. Let me help you do just that. CHAPTER 1 – VISION OF GOD Even before the foundations of the earth, God’s original intent was to create man for communal fellowship, dominion stewardship, and ultimately, for His divine pleasure. Man will forever be engraved in His heart for he bears God’s own image and likeness which sets him apart from all creation. In the Genesis account, God created the heavens and the earth ex nihilo or out of nothing, only by His command and word. He envisioned a perfect world – heavens, earth, light and darkness or day and night, sky and waters, land, vegetation, sun, moon, and stars, living creatures in the air, sea, and land. God had this gigantic vision of creation and creatures teeming with life to be prepared in advance for mankind. A vision is an idea, concept, blueprint or plan with the objective of doing something big, magnanimous, magnificent, and amazing to something or someone to uplift or improve life. It can be a strong desire, dream, purpose or intention to create, transform or impact an entity. God is a God of vision and what He envisions becomes a spiritual or supernatural reality which then will manifest materially, naturally, physically and tangibly. When He said, “Let there be light!” Light came flashing forth from His mouth and producing what He declared and pronounced. Everything God said became law and command and every word accomplished what it is sent out to do. (cf. Isaiah 55.11) For five (5) days, God created everything through the word of His mouth. And lo and behold everything came to being just as what He said it would be. But, on the sixth day, the triune God (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) not only said they would make man in their own image and likeness and rule over the animals and creation but God fashioned the man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into his being. It is only man that is created not only by God’s word but through God’s hands formed from the earth. No other creation has ever been brought into existence like that. God is infinite, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, He is limitless. The triune God is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful) and omnipresent (all-present) God. No other being bears those characteristics, they are all inherent in God alone.
