Gigantic feet. New sandals. Bullies. Pete's feet don't stink, but being made fun of sure does. When the teasing at school becomes too much, Pete’s daily visit to the woods becomes more than just a fun detour. A rhyming picture book for ages 4-8 about bullying, self-esteem and friendship.
There he stood with tears and dirt. His clothes were all a mess.
What on earth had happened here? They couldn’t even guess.
“TELL US WHAT THEY DID TO YOU!” roared the mighty bear.
“Did they push you on the ground, and ruffle all your hair?”
Even with my barefoot feet, I won the half-mile run!
I won’t go back to school though, ‘cause teasing isn’t fun.”
Out hopped Mrs. Kangaroo, her feet both led the way.
“My feet may be humongous, but I’ll race you ANY day!”
“They say I stink,” declared the skunk. “I’ve heard it all my life.
That may be true, but I don’t mind. I’m handsome. Ask my wife!”
