Death, my doctor, I am not that bright; however, I know when I have been had. I got a raw deal today. I have no voice or representation, so just hit away. I will take anything you got; I’ve got no choice. I will shine brightly in Heaven tonight. The angel will be with you. He will stalk you for the rest of your days. Eventually, we all do fall. You take me for granted; you say my life is yours. I have no say in the decision. You talked my mother into abandoning me. You gave no thought for her soul. A doctor, my doctor, is supposed to choose life. Why do you stand over me with a knife? I promise to be the most patient of all your patients. How hard would it be for you, really, just to let this one boy live? Too hard, I suppose. I do not know why I even bothered to ask. Death, my doctor, I am so afraid.
