Psalm 18:22,46 For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except for our God? The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! B.U.S.Y. by Patsy Dean Bustling crowds mingle on city streets. Hustling to get the bus, the train or the plane. People trapped and managed by time. I see no freedoms here. Lives lived according to man-made schedules? When is there time to rest? To whom do the frail ones go? Underneath lie hearts and minds, some are troubled. Looking for smiles; I see few. My mind is made up. So, I leave the city and travel to the rural haven. Here life’s pace is slower. I have time to sit, to think, to stroll and hear God’s heart. Sparrows chirp and blackbirds sing aloud in trees. Bees buzz around, ants work in nests and newborn lambs are gambling. Green fields and gentle hills beckon to walkers. I even hear the smile of God as I sit under a shady tree. I am not busy here. I feel closer to Him. Yahweh made it all. ‘You still the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. You visit and water the earth, bless its growth and You crown our years with goodness’ {Psalm 65: 8- 11 KJV}. The earth is kept by You Lord so that we can live in it. Animals, plants and people work, rest and live on your earth. You designed it so, Lord.
