Let There be Light
Chapter 3
In this lesson I will continue to show that God is doing a work in his man, and the rest of creation is directly affected by what God is doing in his man. When things went wrong with man, the whole creation was affected by it. The scripture says, the son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. The word “destroy†means to undo, to dissolve. It is the light or fire of God that shall destroy or dissolve the works of the devil, and it is through the manifestation of the sons of God that this earth will be completely purged of the works of the devil.
Genesis 1:3 (KJV)3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Light shining out
What God literally said in Genesis chapter one and verse three is, “light shine. He did not command the light to shine into the darkness, but he commanded the light to shine out from were there was no light. There is a big difference from shining into, and shining out of. The apostle Paul by the Spirit of God was looking back to Genesis chapter one and verse three when he said in second Corinthians chapter four and verse six,
2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV)6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
He shined to give the light of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Where is this glory? The glory is in the face of Jesus Christ. In the first chapter of the gospel of John, John is also looking back to Genesis chapter one, let’s take a look at what he says.
John 1:1 (KJV)
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 (KJV)
2The same was in the beginning with God.
The seed is His Word
The word of God is his seed. All things were brought forth through the seed. Therefore, when you read these verses, put the word “seed†where ever you see “wordâ€. It will read like this,
In the beginning was the Seed, and the Seed was with God, and the Seed was God. Just like my son is my seed, God’s son is his seed. Before Jesus received the name “Jesusâ€, his eternal name was the word of God. Before he took on the form of a man, he was in the form of the Seed (word) of God.
Revelation 19:13 (KJV)
13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
His divine name is the word of God. God’s word is his seed and his seed is his son.
Isaiah 55:10 (KJV)
10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
When God desires to produce something that is like unto himself, he does it through the planting of his seed. The confidence of the farmer is that his seed shall not return unto him void or empty. His seed shall do that which pleases him, and it shall push forward in the thing whereto He sent it.
The word “prosper†in verse eleven of Isaiah fifty five, means, “to push forward†(Strong’s H6743). When you plant a seed into the earth, in the fullness of time that seed will push forward through the bottom and top soil, into the thing whereto the farmer sowed it. God’s seed is his word, and His word is His seed, and His seed is his son.
John 1:3 (KJV)
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 (KJV)
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
All things are by the seed; In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
G444 From G435 and ¬(the countenance; from G3700); manfaced, that is, a human being:—certain, man.
The word “menâ€, in the King James Version in a missed translation; the Greek word is the word for countenance. All men are in the seed, but this scripture should read; In him was life, and the life was the shining countenance of a man. It was the face of a man, shining with the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 4:6
(KJV)6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
The glory of God is in the face of Jesus the Christ. John, saw the shining face of a man in the seed of God.
Back to Genesis chapter one,
Genesis 1:3 (KJV)3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
God said, let there be light, or light shine. God was not looking for a light that he could work by. God is light. The bible declares that in God, there is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:5 (KJV)
5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Light Shine
When God said, light shine, he shined:
2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV)6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath sh
