book excerpt
In the past when we thought of the throne of grace we have added the word room, and we have pictured this room where we can go and pray to get help with some present situation in our life,
But the throne of grace is a whole lot more than that, the throne of grace is the place where grace geigns in our mortal bodies where sin once reigned, the bible teaches that where sin abound, grace abound so much more enabling the people of God to live in absolute victory over sin,
If is because of grace that we are instructed to not let sin have dominion over our mortal body, it is through the grace of God that mortals can live like immortals.
Romans 6:12
King James Version (KJV)
12Â Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts Romans 6:14
14Â For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
thereof.
It was under the law that sin reigned unto death, but under grace righteousness reigns unto eternal life. And this life is will be manifested in the same place that death manifested which is in our mortal body, It Is called immortality overriding mortality.
Thorugh the law sin rieigned unto death, though grace righteousness reigns unto life
THE THRONE OF GRACE
Hebrews 4:16
Let ustherefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and findgraceto help in timeofneed.Â
Now, notice what this scripture does not say, it does not say let us come boldly unto the throne room of grace, but it does say let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, and there is a big difference.
Most people view this scripture as an invitation to come and pray, but this is not an invitation to come and pray. The throne of grace is not a place to come and pray, but it is the place where grace reigns.
We need help with the same thing that Jesus needed help with when he was here on planet earth, we need help with temptation and sin. Because of the help that Jesus received from the Spirit of Grace he was able to live an error free life, he was not dominated by sin, nor was he dominated by the flesh. Jesus possessed his vessel in holiness, and it was all because of grace.
You may say, but that was Jesus; the scripture text declares that Jesus was able to be tempted in every point that you and I are, yet he did not commit a single act of sin, what made this possible? First let's look at what made it possible tor Jesus to be tempted in all points as we are,Â
Jesus was able to be temped as you and I, because he became a mortal man, that could experience all the things that we experience, even dearth on the cross.
Hebrews 2:14
King JamesÂ
14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
