Instead of a marital covenant, it has become more like a business arrangement where a husband and wife may not see each other for days, weeks, or longer times. This is an unhealthy environment for everyone in the family unit, including children and other family members.
If a man or woman falls in lust after admiring, complimenting, or desiring someone else other than their lawful spouse, this can also leave stored photos for later recall. For example, when there are unresolved disagreements, or a husband or wife decides they no longer love their spouse, or in times of just going through the motions in pretense of pleasing the spouse, mental images and past thoughts can suddenly appear. In such cases, you have committed adultery in your heart and mind whilst in a committed union with your spouse, (read Matthew 5:28).â€
